Troubleshooting
Most surprises have a simple reason. If yours is not here, write to us, or open Settings, then Guide and support, for a QR code to our support page.
I can’t find the Landing Rate icon
Check that Landing Rate is installed and turned on in My Library, then restart the simulator. The icon is an airliner seen from the front, over a runway.
Nothing appeared when I landed
- Check Settings, At touchdown, Show the landing rate.
- Landing Rate needs a real flight: it gets ready once the aircraft has been more than 50 ft above the ground for two seconds. Starting on the runway and taxiing does not count.
- Slewing, teleporting or rewinding during the approach starts it over: fly the last part normally.
The report did not open by itself
- Check Settings, Landing details, Show automatically.
- With Opens set to At full stop, it waits until the aircraft stops completely.
- After a touch and go (you climbed above 50 ft again) there is no report: the next landing gets one.
- If you closed it with ×, it stays closed for that landing.
You can always read your last landing from the toolbar icon, on the Last landing tab.
I get two pop-ups at every landing
The older Landing Rate is still on. Turn it off in My Library.
The report says “Runway not identified”
Landing Rate looks for the runway in the simulator’s airport data, within about 16 NM. It cannot find one when you land off a runway, on a strip the simulator does not list, or when the simulator does not answer in time. The rest of the report still works.
A soft landing lost stars
That is the realistic grading at work: a very soft touch on a wet runway, a long float or no flare cost a star. Open Technique in the report to see why, or set Grading to Simple. See How your landing is graded.
The window opened empty
Close it and open it again from the toolbar icon. If it happens often, tell us which aircraft you fly and whether you fly in 2D or in VR.
The text is too small or too big
Change Text size in Settings, from 80 % to 150 %. In VR it is always at least one step bigger.
The window is too see-through
Raise Opacity in Settings. In VR it is never lighter than 88 %.
